Research Focusing on Logo, Color, and Fonts

I found a great resource that not only described the importance of media kits, but also how to create one from scratch. It was helpful to have a reminder at this point of the project to emphasize why it is essential for businesses and especially small businesses to have a brand kit. It helps to ensure that all of your advertising and marketing is consistent between all of your content and designs. A media kit also allows you to explain to others what expectations you have for your brand.

When breaking down the content in a media kit, this source discussed logo and icons, explaining how to make a successful do’s and do not’s page, which I had not previously planned on doing a “what not to do page” with my logo, but will likely include in my project. It also mentioned explaining what fonts should be used, and then give examples on where they should be used.

This website also gave suggestions when making a color palette page, and how to separate between primary and secondary colors. Ensuring that the secondary colors flow with the other colors in the color palette.

Lastly, this website provides a great checklist that I will definitely look at to guarantee that I have included some of these crucial aspects in my media kit.
