I had struggled with finding a strong media kit example, but I came across the indiemediaclub website and they provided several really strong examples of media kits. The link is below. I specifically liked the example from the DailyHive as well as the Zoomer Digital Network.
What I enjoyed from the Daily Hive:
- The color scheme
- Use of graphics (sparingly but effective)
- Strong use of white space
These are essential characteristics that I would like to include in my media kit. In their kit they had several pages that I do not feel like I will have to focus on, specifically statistics that had to do with their audience. However, I will definitely use the who we are page, social media page, and the branded content page for inspiration. It is very helpful to see useful media kits and how brands effectively use them, in order for me to make a succesful media kit.
It was interesting to see that this media kit did not really discuss logo or brand colors/font, but it is likely because it was covered in a previous kit, or that is not what they were striving for in this kit.
